It has a number of ingredients that support a healthy intestinal bacterial population, regenerate damaged intestinal lining cells, and enhance nutrient absorption.
It seems to be especially helpful for problems associated with the small intestine. UltraClear Sustain may help:

Dosage:
Dogs and Cats:
Place into food twice daily, 1/4 tsp per 10 lbs body weight
Birds and other exotic animals:
Mix into the seed mix at 1 tsp per cup of seeds or other dry foods
It may be mixed with water, 1/8 tsp powder with 1/4 tsp water, and fed by pipette or by spoon to birds that like the taste
It may also be placed into a feeding formula at 1/16 tsp per 100 grams body weight; can be added to each feeding with a minimum of twice daily dosage
