  2. Aging processes
  3. Autoimmune diseases
  4. Lupus
  5. Degenerative Myelopathy
  6. Neurologic damage
  7. Kidney Disease

Rationale:

During its normal daily metabolism, the body performs a number of oxidative reactions that produce free radicals and toxic oxides. Free radicals must be bound to various compounds, often proteins, for removal or reuse. Oxidative products, including the body's most important antioxidant, glutathione, must be returned to their reduced form to allow the Phase I and Phase II detoxification pathways to efficiently function. Without antioxidants, the body will rapidly deteriorate. Many disease processes produce additional stress on the body's oxidative pathways. Aging is now being thought of as a process where the body begins to fail in its ability to produce sufficient amounts of its antioxidants, resulting in excessive cellular damage.

Vitamin A and mixed carotenoids are included in this formula as they are two of the most beneficial sources of antioxidants. There are more than 600 carotenoids found in nature, all having powerful antioxidant properties. They protect against the development of cancers, improve renal function, heart function, immune function, and hepatic detoxification. They are beneficial for sight (inhibit retinal degeneration), brain function, and growth and development.

Lipoic acid is an antioxidant that is effective in both lipid and aqueous environments, stabilizes cell membranes, and decreases inflammation in the body.

Silymarin is an excellent antioxidant that works on Phase Detoxification and liver cellular repair.

This formula is designed for use in many different situations, including hospitalization, recovery from a chronic disease, and chronic inflammatory conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, Lime disease, and allergic and atopic conditions.
