Ingredients:

Each tablet contains:

338 mg of a proprietary blend of:

  • Luduxin™ (extract of Humulus lupulus of Hops)*
  • Oleanolic Acid (from olive leaf extract, Olea europaea)
  • Rosemary Leaf Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis)

    *Luduxin™ consists of reduced iso-alpha acids (from hops extract, Humulus lupulus) and magnesium salt produced via a proprietary process.

Hops, one of the main ingredients in Kaprex™ has been used both in brewing alcoholic drinks and as an herb to soothe and calm. Hops in

considered to be a bitter tonic, sedative, and hypnotic. Recent research has found other uses for Hops. It has powerful analgesic properties, due in part to its inhibition of inflammatory prostaglandin (PG2), through upstream regulation of genetic expression of these inflammatory products. It may also produce its antiinflammatory actions by the presence of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) which inhibits the inflammatory arachadonic acid sequence. A hops extract containing mainly iso-alpha acids (e.g., isohumulone) is used in this formula to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.

Olive Leaf Extract has been studies mostly in Europe. Recent studies in the United States has focused on its anti-fungal properties, and it has produced encouraging clinical experience in treating a variety of fungal infections. Oleanolic acid, extracted from Olive Leaf may support joint function by interfering with the activation of enzymes required for the synthesis of eicosanoid inflammatory prostaglandin (PG2). Oleanolic acid also supports a healthy mucosal stomach lining. This is a significant contrast to the stomach irritation and ulceration encountered with most drugs that are commonly used for arthritis, including aspirin, Rimadyl, Deramaxx, and other NSAIDS.

Rosemary Leaf Extract has been used in Europe since ancient times to counter headaches. Rosemary is one of nature's best researched herbs to counter oxidative stress, a condition that can lead to arthritis and degenerative joint disease. Two components of Rosemary Leaf, carnosol and carnosic acid appear to have this powerful antioxidant effect. Rosemary Leaf seems to slow the activation of inflammatory eicosonoids (nuclear factor kappa B, or NFK-B), which can lead to decreased joint inflammation.
