Catalyn
is a multiple vitamin, mineral, trace mineral, and enzyme-concentrate,
formulated by Dr. Royal Lee in 1929. Catalyn is the antithesis
of the "megadose" approach to nutritional supplementation. Dr. Lee summoned
the whole of his considerable nutritional experience and know-how to provide
a nutritional "catalyst", a supplement using whole food ingredients which
he named Catalyn. Dr. Lee's goal was to provide a food-based
package of nutrients in the most potent and "bioavailable form" - its
natural state.
Catalyn was introduced into the Standard Process line
of products in 1930.
Proprietary Blend: - 832 mg - Defatted wheat (germ),
carrot (root), calcium lactate, nutritional yeast, bovine adrenal, bovine
liver, bovine spleen, bovine kidney, dried pea (vine) juice, dried alfalfa
juice, mushroom, oat flour, soy bean lecithin, and rice bran extract.
Other Ingredients: Honey, magnesium citrate, glycerine,
arabic gum, ascorbic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin A palmitate,
gelatin, cocarboxylase, riboflavin, and cholecalciferol.
Who Should Get Catalyn?
Catalyn is a multivitamin, whole food supplement, in a chewable form. It is excellent for birds, small mammals, ferrets, rabbits, and reptiles. For dogs and cats, see either Canine Basic Nutrients or Feline Basic Nutrients.
Dosage:
1/4 tablet for each 5 lbs body weight, one to two times daily
