One note: Flax oil, although often claimed to be an excellent source of omega 3 oils, does not contain the most essential ones (EPA and DHA). In cats, flax oil probably is not utilized to gain the benefits of Omega 3 supplementation. It is also questionable if flax oil benefits dogs as we would hope. WellVet.com does not recommend flax oil supplements at this point for any animal.
Super EPA contains eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and is molecularly distilled to ensure that all contaminants, such as PCBs and heavy metals, and all cholesterol, have been removed from the concentrate.

pharmaceutical grade fish oil concentrate form small, cold-water fish
(sardine, mackerel, anchovy, herring, and haddock), which has been
molecularly distilled to remove any potential contaminants, including

Dosage:
Cats
1/2 capsule daily, opened and placed on food
Dogs
1 capsule for each 25 lbs body weight daily; best to divide dose and give twice daily. Start with lower doses and work up to help prevent diarrhea due to the increased fat in the diet. There are cases where much larger doses are very helpful.
Birds
1/4 capsule placed onto soft foods once daily
