A bottle with 100 grams powder

Rationale:

Chinese medical theory indicates that hypothyroidism is often considered to come from a Kidney Yang deficiency (the body is too cold, slow, and sluggish). The majority of thyroid deficient dogs have an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid gland where there is inflammation of the thyroid gland characterized by infiltration of the thyroid gland by inflammatory cells such as lymphocytes and other white blood cells. This inflammation slowly destroys the thyroid gland's ability to produce thyroid hormone. Hypothyroid dogs have low energy levels (Qi Deficiency) and tend to be overweight. Their skin and other organs tend to be too dry.

This formula attempts to address all of these problems. Astragalus and Codonopsis tonify the body's Qi (boost energy). Rehmannia, Peony, and He Shou Wu are Kidney Yin and Yang tonics (they warm the body as well as strengthening Qi... they also moisten the body which will improve the coat and skin). Cyperus and Bupleurum regulate the flow of Liver Qi (they moisten the body and regulate energy levels throughout the body and help with detoxification). Sargassum and Laminaria soften and remove "Phlegm" (they remove the inflammation within the thyroid).
