Indications:

Calcium is essential for various body functions beyond bone mineralization; including muscle contraction, nerve conduction, maintenance and function of cell membranes and membrane permeability, blood coagulation, and the proper functioning of many enzyme systems. The calcium lactate that is used in all Standard Process products is made by fermentation on plant sugar. Calcium Lactate contains the proper balance of calcium and magnesium (5:1 ratio).

Powder Form:

Calcium forms an important blood buffer (as ionized calcium bicarbonate) and is a necessary constituent of tissue fluids helping to maintain proper nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, membrane permeability, and white blood cell function. Calcium lactate is an extremely soluble calcium salt, making it highly bioavailable and an excellent calcium source for nutritional therapies. The calcium lactate contained in this product comes from a pure vegetable, non-dairy source.

Dosage:

Dogs:

1 pill for each 20 lbs body weight, dosed once daily

Cats:

1/2 pill daily for each 10 lbs body weight

Birds:

Sprinkle a pinch on food twice daily. Approxmimately 1/16 tablet daily for each 250 grams body weight. Breeding hens and birds that are calcium deficient should have their dose doubled

Reptiles/Turtles:

Sprinkle or poweder all greens with a light coat twice daily
